Terms and Conditions for Adoption
LAWS seeks to place dogs and cats only in suitable, safe and loving homes. Dogs adopters must have a secure fenced yard with shelter. Owner agrees to:
- Provide quality food, clean water, adequate shelter, exercise and positive human interaction
- Keep the dog current on monthly heartworm and roundworm preventatives and annual vaccinations
- Have the dog examined annually by a veterinarian
- Comply with city ordinances and federal laws related to animals
- Not allow the dog to be chained or tied outdoors at any time without supervision
LAWS will be the sole authority in determining the suitability of a potential owner for adoption of any animal.
Adopters must sign an adoption contract
DOGS : $100
CATS: $0 with a donation of your choice
All dogs and cats will be spayed and neutered and receive all tests and vaccinations prior to adoption. This cost is paid by LAWS. If an animal is too young to spay or neuter or get rabbies shots, a voucher will be provided for this free service. The value of these services is about $180-$200 per dog and $80 per cat, so adoption fees are a true bargain.
